The idea of this project was to catch up with people walking down the streets of Warsaw and ask them the following question: “What is the first word that comes to your mind, while thinking of the end of the Second World War?”. These interviews took place on the square in front of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews, a place which was known as a ghetto during the war. The project’s authors had a chance to talk to people from all around the world. The result of this project was a collage of pictures of words written on the ground with chalk, and portraits of their authors (the interviewees).
